Sports Day 2018

Great hurdle technique

Great hurdle technique

Monday 25th June saw Jenner Park Athletics Stadium host the final Barry Comprehensive School Sportsday in glorious sunshine.

All pupils from years 7, 8 and 9 along with year 10 PE GCSE and BTEC students competed in track and field events throughout the day, demonstrating skill, ability, determination and resilience to fight it out for the points needed to be crowned house champions.

All pupils competed in a 100m sprint, which ensured that everyone participated and contributed to their House total. In addition, all other track events were ‘open’ and many pupils took the opportunity to compete in multiple events.

The event was watched by a good sized crowd who witnessed some fantastic performances throughout the day, whilst staff officiated every event to make sure it ran smoothly.

Well done to everyone involved and a massive thank you from the PE Department for making it such a successful school community day and a fitting end to the long tradition of Barry Comprehensive School Sports Days.
