Barry Comprehensive students from years 7, 8 and 9 took part in a ‘Tough Mudder’ style competition to raise money for Help Lanka prior to the Sixth Form trip to Sri Lanka at the end of June.
The course was arranged to test the boys’ agility and speed. The competitors had to negotiate their way through 8 different obstacles including the tyre run and the giant slip & slide while being pelted with water and flour bombs by the helping 6th formers.
After completing a lap, alongside 25 other competitors, the sprint to the finish line was won by three year 9 students – Carl Sutton, Harper Chamberlain and Zac Watts.
Competitors were encouraged to raise sponsorship to take part in the event, with some boys raising over £30. Jaydon Williams in year 7 was presented with a goody bag prize for raising the most individual sponsorship.
Well done to all involved in raising over £400 for Help Lanka.
