In January, several aspiring mathematicians from Barry Comprehensive School were invited to attend a series of mathematics masterclasses given by some of the countries’ most renowned university professors.

William Ferris in Year 9 attended each lecture over the course of a two-month period. Due to his success and the commitment he has shown in broadening his knowledge of mathematics, he has been invited to participate at the South West Royal Institution Mathematics Masterclass Celebration 2018 at Bath University on Saturday, 16th June. During this prestigious event, William will attend talks and workshops on some of the most interesting and useful areas of mathematics and their far-reaching applications.

The mathematics department hope that William has a fantastic day and would like to congratulate him. His invitation to Bath University is testament to the enthusiasm and hard work he has shown to the subject.
