The current school year isn’t over yet, but Barry Comprehensive School’s new Year 7 pupils didn’t have to wait until September to try out their new school.

Recently, the prospective students’ parents attended Transition Evening for a presentation and the chance to chat to teachers about the new academic year.  Last week, the year 6 students spent the whole day at the school, attending lessons, meeting teachers and finding their way around with help from current students.

These preparations are part of the school’s transition programme, which is designed to make the big move to secondary education a little easier for students and their parents. All the students enjoyed the day and were a credit to their primary schools.
