This year’s Barry Comprehensive School pantomime, “The Panto that goes Wrong”, was set in a fictional school in a fictional town, somewhere in Wales. Any similarities to real people or situations were purely coincidental. Honestly!
The performance focused on a drama teacher called Mr. Gazelle and his cast of actors as they rehearsed their school play, “The Night Before Christmas”. Unfortunately for him, his arch nemesis, Mr. Roger Fitzgerald and his evil minions were out to ruin the play and to destroy Mr. Gazelle once and for all!
The pantomime was created in school by both staff and students and featured a cast of extremely talented actors from years 7 – 11 (as well as an unforgettable cameo by the P.E Department!).
Mr Piekielniak and Mrs Ellis are truly grateful to everyone who helped, supported and gave up their time to be involved in the pantomime! A huge thank you must go to Mr Hilbourne for all of his help behind the scenes and during the performances, the PE department for their contribution to the laughter, Miss Hughes for her help backstage and to Mr McNamara for his continued support of the Creative Arts.
The Drama Department would like to thank everyone who came along to support our talented group of young actors and to wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
