Year 5’s created their own amazing masks in the Art Department

Barry Comprehensive welcomed over 200 Year 5 boys to the school recently for a special day of lessons and activities.

The young visitors were chaperoned by sixth former students, who guided them safely between classrooms, workshops, studios and sporting venues.

The year 5’s were kept really busy with creating masks in Art, manufacturing keyrings in Technology, using music technology and ICT, performing in the drama studio, playing dodgeball and basketball, as well as trying out a whole range of musical instruments including African drums, steel pans, samba and ukuleles.

The school would like to thank the year 5’s for spending the day with us and also to thank all of the specialists who delivered the amazing range of interesting and enjoyable educational experiences.
