Barry Comprehensive School’s students and staff were delighted to welcome visitors to the school’s annual Year 6 Open Evening recently.

The Year 5 and 6 students and their parents/guardians and families were treated to a range of demonstrations, experiments and workshops.  The enthusiastic future students joined in with the learning activities as they explored the classrooms, labs and workshops. The visitors were able to chat to current students about their experiences at school as well as talking to teachers about the range of subjects and support on offer.

Headteacher, Gerard McNamara said, “The Open Evening was a great success. Following on from our second year of record-breaking GCSE results, visitors were interested to find out what Barry Comprehensive has to offer.  We look forward to seeing our Year 5 and 6 visitors again as they prepare for their move to secondary education.’
