Barry Comprehensive School welcomed new students in Year 7 and Year 12 last week.

The Year 7 students, who had the whole school to themselves on the first day, looked very smart as they took this important step on their learning journey.

Headteacher Gerard McNamara welcomed the boys and outlined the challenges and opportunities ahead of them as they work towards their GCSE examinations in 2021.

Senior Learning Mentor David Williams spoke to the year group, explaining the high expectations the school has for attendance and behaviour, before sending the new students to meet their form teachers and start their lessons.
