On the 25th February 2016 the class of 7BR were treated to a trip to the New Theatre in Cardiff to see “Gangsta Granny”.

They have been reading the extremely funny and lively book “Gangsta Granny” in the Learning Lounge with Mrs Turnbull and students from the Atlantic College.

Throughout the play the boys laughed and squealed at the comedy performance of the actors on stage. Jake Hill, Jay Sansome and Logan Marks’s favourite part was when Granny did naked yoga. Connor O’Kelly’s favourite part was Ben’s dance in a competition. The boys totally enjoyed the experience.

In the story our hero Ben is bored beyond belief after he is made to stay at his grandma’s house. She’s the most boring grandma ever: all she wants to do is to play Scrabble, and eat cabbage soup. But there are two things Ben doesn’t know about his grandma.
1) She was once an international jewel thief.
2) All her life, she has been plotting to steal the Crown Jewels, and now she needs Ben’s help.

If you get the chance to read the book DO because it is a howling good read which will have you laughing until your sides split.

Gangsta Granny is a British children’s comedy fiction book, written by David Walliams, illustrated by Tony Ross and published by Harper Collins.
