On Friday 25th September, Barry Comprehensive School celebrated Languages Day.
Teachers from the Languages Faculty were joined by colleagues from other subjects to inspire year 7 to try a new language and learn about a new culture. Mr. Peacock took a break from Physics to teach Spanish and Mrs. Davies swapped English for her native Norwegian, resplendent in full national costume. Students also enjoyed experiences with an international theme in music and explored how to communicate without language in the drama studio.
The school also welcomed Mr Samperi who gave students a great introduction to Italian. In addition to the variety of European languages, Ms Roche introduced the boys to the language and culture of Japan and even dressed the part in a kimono.
Ms. Roche would like to thank everyone who took part in a very successful languages day.
