On the 20th September, Barry Comprehensive School celebrated another excellent Languages Day.

The Exchange students in Year 12 spoke about their culture and taught the Year 7 pupils some Norwegian, Italian, Swedish, German and Spanish. As well as the Languages Faculty, several teachers joined in with Mr Peacock and Mr Tresilian teaching Spanish and Mrs Davies Norwegian. Mrs Davies looked amazing in her national costume.  Mr Norman Pereira returned to school and introduced some Spanish with the help of Julio (Year 10 pupil). As well as the European languages, there were taster lessons in Japanese with Ms Roche who wore a yukata and in Swahili with Mrs Ellis who wore a traditional Kenyan dress.

Besides learning a new language, pupils enjoyed doing a quiz, doing some cooking and some art and music multicultural experiences.

Ms Evans would like to thank everyone who was involved.
