After the rigorous process of being nominated, producing a manifesto and running an election campaign Matthew Williams and Lilibeth James have been elected by fellow Year 13 students and school staff as Barry Comprehensive School’s Head Boy and Head Girl. At the conclusion of a very closely fought campaign it was decided to also create deputy posts, with Isaac Mayne named as Deputy Head Boy, and Skye Moreham named as Deputy Head Girl.

Matthew intends to pursue a career in medicine and hopes to be a trauma surgeon. Lilibeth hopes to continue studying History at university. Issac hopes to read English at university whilst Skye has her sights set on joining the RAF at the end of this academic year.

These four students now have responsibilities in a number of important areas including leading the School Parliament, representing the school at official events and conferences, leading charity events in the school and also leading and managing a team of Year 13 prefects. The prefect role involves supporting at Parents’ Evenings, Open Evenings and other school functions and acting as positive role models for other students.
