At this year’s Year 7 Achievement Assembly, Joe Doughty was awarded the prestigious Pupil of the Year award.

This was a very difficult decision due to the high level of achievement across the year group, but all concerned agreed that Joe was a deserving winner. He has a 100% attendance record this year; has competed strongly in the School Sports Day and Cross Country events and for the Year 7 football team; he has over 700 positive points on SIMS, and no negatives.

Barry Comprehensive finished the school year on a high with the final ‘In it to win it’ draw.

Barry Comprehensive School students from Year 10 recently took part in a Police ‘taster’ day.

This year Barry Comprehensive School have had the huge honour of being invited to participate in the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg Sweden.

The tournament is the largest youth football tournament in the world and is hosting over 1700 teams in various age groups across five days. The boys will be following in the footsteps of world class players like Alan Shearer, Andrea Pirlo and Xabi Alonso Continue reading

A group of Year 7 students from Barry Comprehensive School enjoyed a fascinating look behind the scenes at Pizza Express recently.

The students, some from 7HQ (nurture) and some nominated by their head of year, began their visit to the popular Cardiff Bay eatery by finding out about Italy and the origin of the pizza.  Continue reading
