Sad News

Governors and staff at Barry Comprehensive School are very saddened by the news of Jennifer Hill’s death. During her time as Director of Learning and Skills at the Vale she has been very involved with our school, showing support and commitment to our programme of raising educational, pastoral and governance standards. Our relationship has developed into one of mutual respect, and we have valued the time and empathy that she has given in helping us make significant improvements over the past two years.

We believe that her death will be a considerable loss to education in the Vale and indeed the wider region, and hope that the regard in which she is held will be of some comfort to her family and friends over the coming months.

Antonia Forte, Chair of Governors
Gerard McNamara, Head Teacher
Barry Comprehensive School
