On Friday 10th October two year 8 students from Barry Comprehensive School assisted with the launch of a WRU competition in collaboration with ‘Into Film Cymru’.
The competition criteria wants members to create storyboards for the WRU’s ‘Scorch’ character – the winners work will be animated and shown at WRU events.

The team visited St Joseph’s School for the Deaf, Ragama. Where they provided arts, crafts, face painting and sports
On 2nd July, Mr A Jones, Mrs M Morgan and six Year 12 students travelled to Sri Lanka to support the work of the charity, HelpLanka. While in Sri Lanka, the team spent week-day mornings teaching English in a rural school. Our students were responsible for delivering lessons to children aged between 5 and 11 years old. Barry Comprehensive School was proud to join schools and offices across the UK last Friday to support the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

On the 19th September, Barry Comprehensive School celebrated another exciting Languages Day.
Exchange students in Year 12 spoke about their culture and taught Year 7 pupils some Norwegian, Italian and German. Teachers from a range of subjects joined the Languages Faculty to deliver language lessons. Continue reading
