Barry Comprehensive School was proud to join schools and offices across the UK last Friday to support the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Staff contributed cakes, which were served with tea and coffee by Welsh Baccalaureate students in the Learning Resource Centre.

In 2015 Barry Comprehensive pupils had the fantastic experience of being part of the Gothia Cup that is held annually in Gothenburg Sweden. It is the biggest Youth football tournament in the world, playing host to hundreds of teams from over 80 countries and the standard of the players is a Premier League scouts dream! This year’s school sport competitions began with the annual inter house cross-country run.

In glorious sunshine to start, followed by torrential rain to finish, all boys from year 7 competed in the inter-house competition, gaining points for their house and form.

Staff at Barry Comprehensive were delighted to welcome new students in Year 7 and Year 12 to the school last week.
